So why 'Grax'?

It was a typo error on one of my membership cards years ago. It ended up sounding like a really cool name, so I kept it. At the time I thought it was pretty unique but this proved me wrong.

Random Facts and Junk

  1. I like drawing. In fact drawing is much more fun than colouring.
  2. I'm a Cancerian. I don't believe in astrology 100%, just enough to want to read my horoscope whenever I can and go "*gasp* That's scarily accurate!" Stuff like this for example.
  3. There's not NEARLY enough pure instrumental rock/metal bands in the world. Too many wonderful tunes are ruined by the words.
  4. I tend to have a bad habit of putting things off unless I become obssessed with the thing in question.
  5. I think I'm tidy enough and that everyone else goes WAY overboard with this clean thing.
  6. Baths are great, especially when it's turn-your-skin-red hot.
  7. But baths are no good when you have only 10mins before you have to go to work. Thus showers are more pratical.
  8. I like to talk and mostly listen. I'm not much in the way of a converstion starter.
  9. I have WAY too many comics. Hundreds. But I think it worth my £500+ =)
  10. I am a sucker for t-shirts with cool prints/logos.
  11. I use to weight 18 stone (that's 252 lbs)! Then I decided that I wanted to attract more people (ladies mostly) and joined a gym and ate better. It helped a lot.
  12. I'm now a slightly unhealthy 14 stone (196 lbs).
  13. Ha, not anymore! Since going on a dairy-free diet since New Years Day 2007 I am now a slim and sexy 12.5 stone (175 bls). I do miss chocolate though...

  18. I do Aikido and Kendo. So far I'm only a white belt on both, but I've only been doing them since November 2004.
  19. I use to do Aikido and Kendo, but I gave them up. Kendo because it wasn't as fun as Aikido (I didn't even get to buy the expensive armour). Aikido because I just sorta drifted from it.

  21. The Grax Domain has been up and running since 18th February 2004. It is 4 years old.
  22. I had a part of my body waxed for a laugh. It was a bit painful but it did leave my skin feeling smooth, after the skin had calmed down a bit.
  23. I have been without a television in my place for 3 years, mainly because I went cold turkey on TV when I was living with my brother and I never got one since. The Internet's much better for entertainment anyway.
  24. I have recently moved to Oxford where the house I'm sharing has a TV. So now I am not longer gone TV cold turkey... I went a month without an Internet connection, what was I suppose to do???

The history of The Grax Domain

No one knows for sure the exact date that The Grax Domain was first launched.... Sort of. Sitting quite happily in the same room as Grax using the local NTL Broadband line, its sole purpose was to act as a dumping ground for Grax's web developing skills and his other creations. Initally only being updated about bi-monthly, the number of new entries greatly increased after a 'nice friendly talk' from Mi. Grax still has the scars to prove it.

Over time The Grax Domain had developed a healthy size of content, including different categories, art, a Magic 8 Ball and more. But alas tragedy was soon to strike this humble website... It was created using tables as layout! This was not to last. Now that Grax was a little older and wiser he would remake the website from scratch.

On the 19th Feb 2005 Grax Domain V1.2ish was born. The table layout was gone, replaced with CSS and DIV technologies. It was more streamlined and was now capable of new skins. Grax continued to write about various topics, ranging from the events that happened in his life to the last review he wrote about that crappy movie.

Still Grax's web developing skills continued to grow and so did his desire to make his website better. So on the 15th Nov 2006 Grax Domain V2.0 was born. He pruned any uneccessary code, made it easier for people to access his earlier entries, as well as added a bunch of new content. And still he continues to write.

Who knows what the future brings for The Grax Domain....
