22 Nov 2005 Mystery Package

[Misc] I received a package through the post while I was on holiday. It's a fictious book called Knees up Mother Earth by Robert Rankin. I don't know what it's about but its little blerp says that it's a story featuring magic, time travel, and football.

The weird thing is, I have no idea who sent it to me. It didn't come with a note of any kind, no markings, nothing. The only clue that I had was the handwriting on the envelope. I asked my family and some friends if they sent me the book but they had nothing to do with it. The other weird thing is, according to the postage stamp, it came from Wales. Who the hell do I know in Wales?? I've even checked my bank statements to see if I bought the book when I was drunk. Nothing.

The can only think of two things; first off somebody bought it for me as a gift and didn't tell me (but then how do they know my exact address). Second it was some mystical, devine intervention by something 'larger than life', and I have to read it as it has some significant message to it.

Oh well. It might be a good read, even though I don't like football.
