I'm loosing my hair. :-(
I first noticed earlier this week, when my hair was way overdue for a haircut. I was moving my fringe away from my eyes and I thought "Hey... didn't this use to be thicker? Is there more hair coming out now when I brush through it?" Against the light you could start to see the scalp through the withering forest that is my hair. It's thinning around the forehead/temple part of the head, and a little at the crown of the head I think. When I got my haircut yesterday it only confirmed my fears. My now short fringe is not at strong as it once was. I'm only a mere child of twenty-something, surely I shouldn't be loosing it now?? Maybe I'm using the wrong shampoo. Maybe all the gel is pulling out the strands of hair.
Or maybe its the stress I've been feeling at work recently.
I've had this website that I've have been working on that had to be finished for Tuesday. For the past six days I have been working late into the night trying to finish each of the pages needed. Every night. Even on Sunday. Each passing day I got more and more anxious and stressed. The day arrived and all the pages were done. I made some minor tweaks to the last pages and I transferred the web site from the development area to the live area. Everything was on schedual, it was all on time. I put up a holding page for tell people that the new site is coming soon, and me and a work collegue went to work on testing each page to make sure it was all gravy.
Long story short some of the pages weren't working properly and it took me and my collegues all day to fix. It's all fixed now but I wasted my time and theirs. I feel bad for wasting their time.
I've never been under this sort of pressure before, not at this grand scale... Wait... I think I said that before.... Anyway I felt angry and sick with every passing hour. Not to mention exhausted. Plus I'm loosing my hair. I feel like I need a holiday.
So I'm going to have one.
I booked me a couple of weeks out of this country. I'm heading to Argentina! I've got a friend over there and she's let me stay at her house, eat her food, shit in her toilet, the works! Thing is I don't believe this is a free lunch. She studies English at University and I bet she'll want to show me off to her friends and collegues like some sort of monkey in a cage. "[in spanish] Oooh look at me! I have an english man. Where's your english man? Oh that's right you don't have one. It's OK, you can touch him if you want. Wait NO NOT THERE!! Aw now look what you've done!"
I'm trying hard not to build my expectations up, but it hard because my mind tend to wonder alot and I think about many possible scenarios that could happen. Good and bad. Truth is I don't know what to expect. I've been trying to learn some Spanish and get myself fit and lean, but it's tricky to do, especially now as I have only 2 weeks until its go time. Only time will tell the results.
But at least I know what my hostess looks and sounds like, so that's always a bonus whenever you go to a foreign country and you don't know how to speak their language.

That really sucks to be losing your hair like that, try to call down a bit and relax. =\ And you're sooooooo lucky to be able to just get up and go like that! I wish I had that ability! And yes, go forth my little english man, I will even get you a nice cage. >D
