25 Dec 2004 Merry Christmas Everyone
Now get out there and enjoy it!
15 Dec 2004 Blade Trinity Movie Review
It's not uncommon for wrestlers to do movies after they become a household name in the ring. After all
The Rock has been in several films,
Edge made a brief appearance in
Highlander: End Game and who could forget the 'fine' performances of
Hulk Hogan's career. But what I found out earlier this evening still managed to surprize me when I was at the cinema to watch the new movie.
Triple H; The Game™ (pronounced 'Gaaaa-eeee-mmma!' for all you WWE fans out there) is in Blade Trinity!
What's just as shocking is that Triple H got quite a big role, being the main hired goon for the main vampire lady bitch of the movie. He talks a lot and lasts pretty much up to the end of the film. They musta paid big bucks for that kind of cameo appearance.
..... Oh yeah, the movie. Well it was alright I guess. Good fight scenes, but it's another movie where you REALLY should turn off mentally or you'll pick picking holes at all the way through. And good God it is so cheesy, the guy who kept making wise-cracks; he made me want to hurt him. It was just too much.
I could probably pick more holes in the movie if I read the Blade comics from Marvel. But I don't, so they're safe, for now.
Definately not a go-to-cinema experience. Wait for the DVD if you must.
GRAX RATING: 2/5 (Another sequal that's fallen into the trap of crappy ends of trilogies)
15 Dec 2004 Day 4 of the New House... Again?
Well this is a bit sudden. I've moved into my new house a week early due being kicked out of my last house (long story short I wasn't suppose to be there and the landlord was to inspect the house in a few days). So it was quite a rush packing everything in my last house and moving it within a space of 24 hours. But I did it.
And I'm glad I did. My room is HUGE! Well the biggest room I've ever had. It fits a double bed (I've never owned a double bed before. mmmm..... space....). The house is not perfect, but I like it a lot better than the last one.
The only major worry is the people I'm living with. I've never met them before (apart from when I looked at the house). But they all seem cool. Multi-cultural too. A white landlord, a black guy, a dutch girl, and a guy with
some kind of accent, I can't tell what it is.
On top of all that I got broadband again (yay)! Now I have no excuse for not updating my sites regularly, apart from work sapping all my time... Honest 0_o
7 Dec 2004 "O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree..."
Like I said I would, here are the pictures of that Magic Christmas Tree I got the other day. It's
so cool!
Tree 1
Tree 2
Those shots are about a week old. The tree is still alive (of sorts). The green-ness is slowly fading to white though, and if you touch it bits fall off the tree. I'm definately getting one next year. ^_^
4 Dec 2004 I'm still here people!
Sorry I haven't written anything in nearly a month. I've been mega busy with work, what with all the work and the deadlines and stuff. God I miss all that free time I had. *sigh*
Anyway, since the last time I wrote the following has happened:
- I'm moving into a new house! It's a nicer place than where I am currently living in, I'll have a much bigger room (mmm.... double bed), and I'll have broadband again! Which is good, because I think I'm starting to ride on my brothers (the guy who I am living with) last nerve. o_0
- Computers are still shit when they don't work. I had a really stressful time at work when I tried to simply install Windows Server Small Business 2003 at work and the e-mails didn't work properly. Or simply adding broadband the other day and the whole network decided to not work. It took me a few days to work out all the kinks. Bloody computer...
- I now know why Photoshop is the industry standard for all things print, web, and etc graphic design, rather than Paint Shop Pro (my fave). In Photoshop you can set the program to CMYK mode, which is the mode used for high quality print. You can't do that in Paint Shop Pro, not even in version 9.0. I found that out the hard way, when I designed promotional postcards at work in RGB colours and the printers wouldn't accept the postcard because it wasn't in CMYK. So I had to redo the whole thing in Photoshop 5, which doesn't have vectors of any kind, in a few hours. Oh yeah, that was fun...!
- But despite all the crap at work, I still like it.
- Three more Saturdays until Chrismas! Crap! 0_0
- I got a free 'Magic' Christmas Tree from a crappy work-related exhibition I went to. It grows moldy-crystal thingys and it really works. I'll post pictures up of it at work later.
Other than that, not much else has happened.
