I've managed to whip up some new pictures in the Art of Grax, including a new SimpleImg of the week.

Well I'm glad that's over. I did my exam today and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The format (and some of the questions) were pretty much the same as the past exam paper we were given. I knew what was coming and I blitz the questions I could do and bull-s***** the questions I didn't know (as you do). All in all ah rekin ah passed. :-)

26 May 2004 Stress...Stress...!

I've been stressing out for the past couple of days. I've got an exam tomorrow on a subject that I find incredibly boring, Advance Software Engineering (Lots of theory based hoo-ha), and I've only started do revision for it a couple of days ago. I feel better now that I've done a past paper on the subject. but still, I can't be bothered to do it. I kinda wish I did another unit. Oh well, too late now. :-|

12 May 2004 Val Helsing Review

I just saw Van Helsing at the cinema and I wanna share my opinion of it, seeing as most people I know seems to be doing it. One thing that has to be said about the movie; it's very melodramatic. During the breaks from the action we're left to watch the somewhat cheesy storyline and some over-the-top acting and fake accents from Dracula and his women. Frankenstien's Monster should get an award for his 'extreme' acting. Hugh Jackman did surprizingly well in his role and I liked him. He was the cool bad-ass with the killer clothes and the killer moves. The makers of the movie made the right choice when they chose Hugh to be the man. Well done. The special effects kinda fluxed in quality during the movie. There were parts where you thought "Wow, that's pretty cool" and "what a cool idea", while other time where you thought "The gamma on that CG model is off" or "Blue-Screen...". I could see that most of the budget was spent on the ending of the film. The effects at the end were quite amazing and I started to enjoy the movie. Then it was over. I enter the cinema with fairly low expectation of the film. For the most parts those expectations were confirmed, though there were a couple of good things in the movie (like the end bit and that Werewolves kick ass!). Wait for this to come out onto DVD. That way you can skip the dull bits, you don't need them anyway. GRAX RATING: 2/5

I've added a new section for putting in random junk which I find cool. It's called Stuff. So far it's kinda empty. I don't wanna put files in there cos it'll eat my limited bandwidth. But it'll get more used in the future.

7 May 2004 An Excuse to Draw Lots

I've added a new section to The Art of Grax called SimpleImg. It's a meme idea that I copied from Moopy, who copied the idea from Claire. Anyway the idea is that once a week I type in a random word into Google's image search engine and draw one of the first images from the search results. To start off I thought I would try my name, Grax. Check out the results in the SimpleImg Section.

5 May 2004 Sorry bout that

Yeah... So I finally finished my final year coursework for University. Man that 12,000 words of Uni work took up a load of my time especially towards the end. I couldn't really do anything fun like, go out, watch TV or say.... update my sites.... Honest.... o_o Lame excuses aside, now that it's all done I'll have time more time to dedicate to my sites. That includes tweaking, adding new stuff, and generally.... stuff... Expect new things over the next few days. Like this for instance: I did a search on the web for the name Grax. Turns out my name is not as unique as I thought. I found that there a CCG card called Grax. Me, a card game card! I wonder what the game is called. Check it out here.
